Kill National School

Scoil Bhríde, Kill has a well deserved reputation for excellence in Science. Each year we take part in the Young Scientist Exhibition. We also participate in the Empowering Minds Project. This is a project run by The National Centre for Technology in Education where children at primary school level design projects on various themes and illustrate them using programmable lego bricks. This year our theme was "pirates" and you can see some pictures from this in the Lego section of our website.

We have won an Excellence in Science Award for the past four years. This is presented to schools that show that they are using science effectively in the children's education.

We also run a Science Fair each year in conjunction with a bookfair. This gives the children a great opportunity to showcase their work to their parents and the wider community.
